CTEC (Citizen’s Technical Environmental Committee) is sponsoring a public forum to be held at the Butte Public Library, Wednesday, September 5th from 6:30 to 8:00 PM to discuss the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) recently released revised Community Engagement Plan for Butte Superfund sites. Representatives from the EPA will be present to summarize and discuss the plan. In addition, CTEC’s technical advisor will offer comments. There will be an opportunity for the public to provide input and to ask questions. The public is encouraged to attend.

The Citizens Technical Environmental Committee of Butte is a non-profit organization of citizen volunteers that work with the EPA, State of Montana, responsible parties, and others to ensure cleanup decisions under Superfund consider the needs and interests of Butte area residents. CTEC was established to provide educational and scientific expertise, including research and public education, about the Superfund sites within the Butte area.
